INTERNSHIP. I took these pictures (my favorite looks from the whole show) from my first internship for a hair show at Cirque d'Hiver for Michel Dervyn. It was amazing!

10/10/10
well...actually its 10/11 here Paris time.
Missing all my family and friends mostly because I am sick!!!! I'm dying a slow, slow death
I haven't updated in a bit but I guess that it is a good thing because I've been busy actually doing things and not glued to my only friend, my computer :)
Fashion week has been over for a few days, I was so happy to sit second row(!!!) at Elie Saab, had a blast at the launching of my brother's magazie (DDD & met Catherine Baba!) and a lot of other fab things I can't remember at the moment...
Oh! I went to Versailles this past weekend with my out of town friends....AMAZING! I will update with pics of the Takashi Murakami exhibit! I got in for free because I am a student! haha highlight of my weekend!
xx

im back
I haven't written in such a long time...
which means that I've been doing more things than just grocery shopping and watching internet tv! yay!
My brother is in town for 3 weeks covering fashion week & of course visiting me! I feel like the luckiest girl really...I mean, I never expected to have anyone be able to visit me (hell,$$$!), but just in the month of Octobre, I will have 3 of my friends from Chicago visit! How lucky am I?
The weather has gotten slightly chilly, and rainy for the most part! School is still crazy in my opinion, only because it takes up such a large chunk of the day (and who wants to go out after school with like a huge makeup bag)! I'm sad we aren't able to go out during school hours to people watch at the shows....but maybe I will find a way!
There's so much more to explain, but at I the moment I feel so overwhelmed! I still have my moments of homesickness at random times, but am so glad to be in Paris. It made me really happy to see my brother "oo" & "aww" at everything around us because I still can't believe I'm here, let alone with my brother! Truly thankful and will always remember this!
How are you all at home? Let me know, will write more later!
xx, bon weekend!

quick update
Hey ya'llllll
Thought I wold quickly update before I leave for school!
Went to my first internship yesterday at Cirque d'hiver (a real circus!!!)
It was for a hair show hosted by Parisian stylist Michel Dervyn! We worked under the chief makeup artist, Audrey B and it was quite an experience!
The circus backdrop was truly magical, I think I am more excited about having been inside a real, old circus than doing the job!
They fed us there...and WOW...I had cookies (pepito!!) and drip (AH!!) coffee alllllllllllll morning and then lunch was pasta and salad (no one ate the salad) and a dessert bar (I had the most incredible apple pie..I hate cooked fruit and the apples tasted like FRESH apples).
I nearly passed out from all the food. It's been awhile since I had real food (besides the food my roommate graciously cooks a couple times a week). The coffee was the highlight of the day....
Anyways, I will update with pictures when I get back from school ! Hope you had a great weekend, bon matin! xx

getting sick :( but a few things I learned in the 3 weeks I have been in Paris:
-it never really rains, just drizzles and immediately gets sunny
-people are big on salutations "bonjours" "au revoirs" "bon appetits" and it's really charming :)
-harem "carrot" pants are a must
-pardon=excuse me excusez moi=sorry contrary to what my guide book says.
-b.o. galore
-baguettes
-new coffee terminology
-french like their bling bling
-how to wrap my scarf...the cool way
-can't live without carbs
- & that I am REALLY, REALLY short....closer to the ground than ever!

morning
Seriously, the weather could not be any more gorgeous!! I'm sitting in front of the window...the breeze is divine!
I woke up with my first hangover in Paris! Haha, I didn't even drink that much, but maybe it's because I don't drink red wine usually and I've been drinking it more here!
Today we (my roommates & I) are going to St. Michael (sp? looks funny) which is only a few stops from our apartment. There's a lot of cafes and galleries there so I'm excited to finally get in on some Parisian action! It's also home to Notre Dame, so maybe we'll get to see it better! (the last time I saw was through the window of a bus!)
I think my bangs need some professional help. They're like too blunt, but I really want to save my money, so that will have to wait.
I seriously am a starving artist here in Paris! It's really funny, but fun at the same time! Save, save, save! So when I actually do splurge (drinking at cafes, ice cream, sweets, junk food) it's sooooooooo sweet!
I wonder if I've gained any weight? I eat bread everyday---something I didn't do much of back home! My clothes feel a little looser, but I think I actually need to workout more...!!
